Leaving Omaha

Kendra, Brandon and Amadeus left this evening.  I was, as always, sad to see them go.  We had a ball the past couple days and cannot wait for the next visit. :D  Anyway, when they were getting ready to pack the truck, Brandon picked Kendra up and then loaded put the camera bag and something else in her hands.  He then proceeded to pick up the luggage and then out the door they went.  I've never seen somebody pack to leave like that before today.  I must say, it looked rather efficient. ;)

I Hate It When..

...my family leaves to return back home to IL.  It leaves me a tad melancholy and lonely.  I took this photograph of Amadeus this morning as Kendra was their things ready to go.  It makes me smile!  You can just see the orneriness oozing out of him.  I love that kid but I hate goodbyes.

Big Boy, Amadeus

Amadeus could hardly wait to get to the hospital to see the baby!  He was so excited and very curious.  It is amazing how much 'older' Amadeus looks next to that tiny infant than he did the last time I saw him.  Truthfully it wasn't that long ago but now Amadeus doesn't quite fit the bill of the baby anymore. ;)  Jameson is going to have a great time playing with his older cousin in a few years.  I can only imagine what adventures the two of them will have together.

Anna's Babyshower

Today we went to Lincoln, NE to my sister's babyshower.  Kendra and Amadeus rode with me so that I did not have to make the trip alone.  I enjoyed the company.  The shower was nice and Anna received a ton of great gifts.  I spent the majority of time with Imagene recording the event in photographs.  Here is one I thought I would share with you.

Game Night

So we finished up the trip with a fun game night.  We played RISK (never thought that game would be as fun as it was but it did get the competitive juices flowing and I now know for a fact that my sister, Sara, is as blood thirsty as I have always suspected).  We also played MONOPOLY and UNO.  This is all very odd as my family has never really been that big on board or card games but nonetheless we all enjoyed ourselves.  The girls entertained themselves by playing dressup (again) and Amadeus decided to settle in with a good book. The book didn't keep him entertained throughout the all day gameplaying event but did occupy him for a short while.  I had to take a break to catch the lil' man reading.  How cute!
