Mid-morning Headshot Session

This morning I had a session with a new client.  I was really excited (like always!).  I decided to use one of the images for my blog entry today because that is how I spent my morning.  This client wants color headshots (good choice for her and how she will be using her image) but you know how I love black and white photos so I thought I would make the image into a black and white portrait for out here on my 365 blog. It was such a fun session and I look forward to working with her again. :)

All Geared Up!

Today was Lela's first official practice!  She LOVED it.  I got such a kick out of watching her.  She was all smiles.  Of course, before practice today we had to go and get her swim gear.  We made a trip to Sports Authority and purchased a couple competition suits, goggles, swim bag, swim cap and kickboard.  Here is a photo of her right before we left for practice all geared up.  The highlight of her evening aside from all her new stuff?  She got to show her team how to backflip off the wall.  That's right, she thinks she is hot stuff.  Just wait until she learns how to actually flip turn for real. ;)

Distraction

UB and AIG are coming!! Along with Justin and Jess!! :)  We're all very excited to see them arrive and spend the weekend.  We plan on doing some riding on the hogs and I'm sure lots of laughing.  It should be a great weekend.  I am trying to get things in order and finish up some laundry but the dang computer keeps distracting me.  At least I got the folded laundry that was sitting on this table put away.  That's a step in the right direction. ;) 

Dancin' Dancin' Dancin'

SHOES!  These shoes ROCK.  These shoes AREN'T $150.00.  These shoes RULE.  SHOES!  (Kendra, that was for you- I had to ad lib a tad but it is still for you!)  I have been honored by my cousin Justin and soon to be officially my cousin, Jess.  They've asked me to be a bridesmaid in their wedding this weekend!  YIPPEE!  I am so excited.  They are such a fabulous couple and I am so excited for the two of them to start their lives together as a family tomorrow.  We are packing today and heading to Kansas as soon as the car is loaded.  Today's image is...you guessed it- a photograph of the shoes I will be wearing for their big day.  Jess let all of us bridesmaids pick our own shoes and although mine aren't such a practical pick they sure are c.u.t.e.!  My feet will hate me, I'm sure.  Oh well.  I always tell Becca no pain no gain so I guess it is time to put my money where my mouth is...or the shoes on my feet. ;)

Tonight's Gonna be a Good Night!.......

....because it's Becca's 8th Grade Dance!!!  Whoot WHOOT! :D  She had an absolute ball this evening.  It was so fun chaperoning the event.  She looked absolutely beautiful!  Becca danced with her dad and even did the Cupid Shuffle with me!  It was great.  And yes, we got to watch her dance with a few different boys and lots of her friends.  Tomorrow is her big day- she walks down the aisle of the church at Graduation Mass and recieves her diploma.  We're super excited for her. 

Illinois Visitors

I am soooo excited!  My family is coming to visit for the weekend.  I really do not feel quite prepared for the company- can't really say why- but I am very excited.  Anyway.  This photograph is very random and maybe it is because I need to dust before they get here (...I *always* need to dust. ugh) but I really like it and I am happy for the inspiration.  I can't wait for them to arrive!

"Celebrate Good Times- Come on!"

Tonight we went to The Fox and the Hound to celebrate a promotion for one of Steve's employees.  They are moving up to the next level and out of the NE area but staying within the group.  Congratulations!- You know who you are!  It was a fun night and we are really excited for the new endeavors and adventures this employee will be embarking on with his promotion.  Here is a photo of Steve and me out this evening helping celebrate the good news. 

Christmas Presents in January?!?

My girls were so excited today!  Our neighbor had dropped off their Christmas gifts.  Unfortunately, with all this less than desirable weather, we haven't had too many playdates recently.  Don't worry, we've got one scheduled for tomorrow!  Here is a silly image of my girls opening their gifts.  They loved them!  Thank you, "M" Family!!  We love you guys! xoxoxo
