Ohhhh Barrraaacuddda!

I love swim photos - it's the swimmers' faces that make the images so cool to me.  Here is a photo of Becca in the water at practice. 

A Rose by Any Other Name

Becca came home Friday night with a rose.  She had a pasta dinner with her swim team and the Prep swimmers brought roses for the girls before their big meet on Saturday.  I photographed it today.  It has opened up and is really gorgeous.  It smells lovely.

Get It Barracuda!

Becca had a meet tonight.  This is a photo of her during warm-ups.  I really wish I could get down on the pool deck.  I would be in heaven.  .....on a completely different note- Happy  Birthday, Sara.  I love you.

Tonight Becca had another swim meet at Millard West.  Lela and I went to cheer her on tonight. We had a great time (as always) watching her swim.  Lela and I were both a tad overdressed and super hot- Lela's cheeks actually got flushed.  I think next time I'll leave my boots at home.  Here's a photo of Becca and her good friend/teammate in between events.

Chaos? Nah Just a Huge Meet

Becca had a meet today.  It started VERY early so Lela and I stayed home.  It was a large invite meet so Steve said it was a little chaotic.  I am cheating for today's image.  I didn't take this picture, Steve did--I still wanted to use it for today's blog because this is what our Saturday was all about and afterall, this blog is a work in progress review of our year. (Don't worry, I cleared it with him first--he gave me a limited copyright release.)

All Geared Up!

Today was Lela's first official practice!  She LOVED it.  I got such a kick out of watching her.  She was all smiles.  Of course, before practice today we had to go and get her swim gear.  We made a trip to Sports Authority and purchased a couple competition suits, goggles, swim bag, swim cap and kickboard.  Here is a photo of her right before we left for practice all geared up.  The highlight of her evening aside from all her new stuff?  She got to show her team how to backflip off the wall.  That's right, she thinks she is hot stuff.  Just wait until she learns how to actually flip turn for real. ;)

Lela the Lemon Shark!

Today, Lela tried out for the same competative swim team that Becca swims for and she made it!!!  She starts swimming tomorrow for the team and is super excited about it.  She is really proud of herself and so are we.  Here is an image of Lela right before we left the house for her tryout.

Another Day at the Pool

She didn't want to tag along but I think she enjoyed herself anyway.  I always like it when she decides to come hang out with us.

Becca Graced Us...

....with her company at the pool today! :)  The younger girls really enjoy it when she comes with us because she takes them off the diving board or into the deep end and swims with them.  She's a good big sister/Aunt.)  I know they think she is pretty cool.  I'd have to agree.

Swim Again! :D

Well, this evening was the 2nd half of the competative meet Becca participated in for her team.  Again, not on pool deck but I didn't care- I am a proud momma and I find her talents amazing. Truthfully speaking, I  look like a fish on a bicycle if I even try to swim any stroke and I know I can't make it 25 yards- muchless 200! :)

Swim!

Becca had a swim meet tonight after school.  It was supposed to be a small meet but there were over 220 swimmers signed up so it was a rather long meet for a school night.  She had fun, though.  Lela and I enjoyed watching her in the water.  I couldn't get down on the deck so I am not extremely excited about this image but I think she looks like a bada$$ all the same. ;)  She's my fish!
